I would prefer not to actually be packed into your suitcase, but next time you book your dream vacation or weekend getaway, consider hiring a professional photographer (i.e me) to spend a day, two, or even the whole week with you and your family, documenting your journey through the beautiful and wonderful places you go!
This is our office, our place of business, our boardroom, our City.
Not bad for just looking out the window at sunset. I love this place.
A Foggy San Francisco Sunset | View of the Golden Gate Bridge and the City
Sunday May 27, 2012 marked the 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge. In celebration of this American icon, there was a whole day of celebration at key sites along the waterfront along the San Francisco Bay and plenty of revelry around the city. The most exciting of which, were the 75th anniversary fireworks show! It was super special as they organizers added a special dose of a fantastic light show to go along with the fireworks. We had a key vantage point from the top of Nob Hill, and of course my camera, tripod and I happily joined in the celebration. Here’s my ode to this amazing icon of San Francisco, America and human ingenuity! Happy Anniversary GGB!
I’m excited to announce that Leslie Bahr of Whitetail Wine Bar in Guerneville, CA has invited me to show 11 pieces of my landscape photography in her lovely gallery. It’s a fantastic opportunity that I’m elated over as Russian River wine country is just entering into the high season and I can’t wait to show my work in print to everyone starting this week and continuing throughout the month of May!
Spent a little time on the Santa Monica Pier while visiting some friends in Culver City in Los Angeles this summer. I love this pier because not only is a classic boardwalk with a great history, but it’s got the fantastic family amusement park, Pacific Park, right on the pier. Since we hit the place in broad summertime 12-noon sunlight I decided to make 3-7 captures 1-stop apart for each photo I wanted to make as we wandered the pier. There’s so much character in the buildings, structures, art, and people on the pier, it’s hard not to want to photograph…
A little trip up the coast left us with some wonderful experiences in Humbolt Redwoods State Park Big trees everywhere. It’s amazing. See the full gallery here.
On a lonely foggy eve, I stumbled into Fort Point National Historic Site and the archway truss of the Golden Gate Bridge. From Fort Point you get an original view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay. It’s pretty unreal down there, and very easy to get to. I wish the building at the point was open, and it’d be cool to wander closer to the bridge, but it’s gated off pretty well (the first shot here is actually taken with the camera lens poking through the hole in the fence). I’ve seen some photogs get…
This was one of those sunsets you can’t believe you got to witness and all you have to do is look out the window. JPEG file straight from the camera. I love when I don’t have to process an image 🙂
This past February, I traveled to Ireland with my mom. We visited 14 counties, had countless wonderful experiences, and sadly said goodbye to grandma. The winter trip to the Emerald Isle was filled with many emotions, from elated excitement of exploration to eyes bawling sadness. At the end of the two and a half-week adventure, I came home with countless amazing memories of a great road trip with my mom the likes I haven’t seen since I was 12; a trip I’ll never forget and always cherish. Traveling to Ireland was always special to our family. When my brother and…
