Harlem Globetrotters | 4 Times the fun World Tour at HP Pavillion!

Images originally published in the SF Station photo gallery: http://photos.sfstation.com/gallery/15475757_HL3sT#1158730877_ZY8dT Last week I had the unique privilege of photographing the world famous Harlem Globetrotters on their 4 Times the Fun World Tour stop at HP Pavilion in San Jose. Their management was kind enough to offer a Game Pass to shoot the first half from the baseline underneath the basket, an experience (and photographic challenge) I was more than excited and willing to accept. Though I’m out a few times a week on average making images at concerts, events, windy streets of the city, and other random places, I have…

1000 Tweets

folder_openNiall David Photography Blog

I have made 1000 of something I thought I’d never do – tweet. Yep, it still sounds as lame as it did a couple of years ago when the phenomenon began. There was Twitter, right alongside the uprising of Facebook and the seemingly dismal crumble of MySpace (except for its music promotion value and public weirdness which are giving craigslist a run for its money …). Anywho, it’s been an interesting few years with it and those little 140 character messages.

San Francisco Skyline – Nighttime Views from Treasure Island

I don’t often go to Treasure Island, but today I just wanted to get out for a drive, and it seemed like the place to visit. A short jaunt from San Francisco, and dramatically placed right in the middle of the San Francisco Bay is the site of one of the most awe inspiring views of the city in the entire area. Second to only the Berkeley hills, this can’t be beat. Plus, if you’re already in SF, you can get there and back sans toll. I highly recommend this trip, worth it’s weight in unforgettable scenery of the City…

Having grown up in New York and now living under western skies, I don’t often get back to NYC. This particular trip lead to a ride up to the 86th and 102nd floors of the Empire State Building (they have a very cool sustainability exhibit on display), as well as a subway ride down to The World Trade Center…

Sunrise View over the San Francisco Bay at NDP

The sun rises over the San Francisco Bay on October 14, 2010. Air moves fast by the coast, and the clouds are often wispy and long. They don’t ever quite get this pillowy and cottonbally, so even though there were still a few hours of bedtime to be had before heading into this day, I just had to jump out of bed, grab my camera and make a few images of the sun rising over the city. I don’t quite expect that we shall see these puffy clouds again any time soon… Fantastic day to be alive.
