Editorial: University of Phoenix – Faculty Matters Magazine | Meet the Faculty: Radostina Peteva

The lead line of the piece reads “Overwhelmed and loving it.” And that’s just how Radostina thrives day-to-day in her postion as the Head of Business Development at Greenhouse Studios and faculty member at the University of Phoenix. The assignment was for UOPX’s Faculty Matters magazine Summer 2012 Edition and I really enjoyed making the trip to LA to complete it.

We met up on what was probably the windiest rainiest day Los Angeles has ever seen, which unfortunately scrapped our classic Hollywood sign ideas among other shots around the city we had planned, but we were fortunate enough to take an hour of shelter in the glorious Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica as well as make refuge in the conference room of Greenhouse Studios.

Radostina was one of the most engaging and vibrant people I’ve ever photographed and the shoot was certainly memorable. We all had a great time and couldn’t stop laughing the whole time, which made my job easier as not a smile or smirk was planned. In fact the assignment had called for a mix of smiles as well as those straight-faced images we actually struggled to produce 🙂 In the end the editors agreed Radostina’s personality came out way more in the laughing shots and many of them made the magazine.

Instagram :: April 2012

Expression of daily life with Instagram and iPhoneography continues. Though I’ve been less active than previous months lately, I’m happy to post the monthly update to recap April 2012.

Seattle, trains, mountains, views, record store day, a new facebook page, rooftops and art shows all caught my attention this past month…
