Special double feature! Two sessions summed up into one posting 😉
Cathy and Dan found me through my music photography, and once we met to chat about the plan for their engagement photos and wedding photography, we instantly clicked on style and vibe for the photo sessions we started planning. This couple is laid back, super chill and all in all great people to work with. We met up for two wonderful engagement portrait sessions, one at the Legion of Honor near Lands End, and the other a few months later for a evening/dusk session on Treasure Island, right in the middle of the San Francisco Bay.
All in all Cathy and Dan were a joy to photograph. We had a lot of fun exploring each of the places we traveled to, and had a lot of adventures to reminisce about when I photographed their wedding for them at the Great American Music Hall earlier this year – more to come on that in a future post 😉
I’m excited to share some of the beautiful photographs from an afternoon in June with the Wiggen Family! We photographed at Alta Plaza Park in San Francisco on a glorious summer day! We were even lucky enough to have grandma join us for this shoot while she was in town for the week, and it’s great to have been able to capture those special family moments for everyone.
Come say hello, view recent landscape artwork from yours truly, attend a book signing with Jenn Flaa (author of the Happiness Handbook), chat with vocal coach and singer-songwriter Whitney Nichole, and sample some amazing free services offered by Synergy Mind Body Wellness and other great local businesses including Vibrational Healing, Hand treatments, Life Coaching, Nutritional Counseling and more (see links below). There will be raffles of prizes from all involved. The event is free for all attendees. Healthy snacks and beverages will be provided.
We met up on what was probably the windiest rainiest day Los Angeles has ever seen, which unfortunately scrapped our classic Hollywood sign ideas among other shots around the city we had planned, but we were fortunate enough to take an hour of shelter in the glorious Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica as well as make refuge in the conference room of Greenhouse Studios.
Radostina was one of the most engaging and vibrant people I’ve ever photographed and the shoot was certainly memorable. We all had a great time and couldn’t stop laughing the whole time, which made my job easier as not a smile or smirk was planned. In fact the assignment had called for a mix of smiles as well as those straight-faced images we actually struggled to produce 🙂 In the end the editors agreed Radostina’s personality came out way more in the laughing shots and many of them made the magazine.
A few great ways to keep up on Instagram images is joining Instagram, posting your images and following your favorite photographers! There’s also my favorite: Statigram, as well as Webstagram, Followgram, and the Instadesk application for Mac OS X.
