Meet the Lam Family!
Meet the Lam Family!
The sun came out for us during the foggy San Francisco summer at Fort Mason! What a wonderful, beautiful couple, with one of the cutest little ones you’ve ever seen!
Last month I took on a very exciting and rewarding personal project – photographing the 16 bands of the Bay Area Girls Rock Camp… in 8 hours.
A very musical friend of mine, Jamie Freedman, mentioned that the organizers of the BAGRC were looking for a photographer to capture portraits of the bands during their last week of camp, and I naturally jumped at the chance to work with these young talented musicians. It was a exciting and incredibly fun task of setting up 16 30-minute photo sessions over two days, and keeping the schedule on track. In the end, the 80 campers, dozens of organizers and I all had a lot of fun making these photographs come to life. Special thanks to Executive Director, Carey Faye-Horowitz, for inviting me to photograph the bands, and for graciously helping me out with scheduling and organizational logistics.

What a glorious sunny day for a summertime trip to the San Francisco Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park! You never know what you’re going to see in bloom, and we all had a great time visiting the various areas within the garden.
A fun day rambling around the park with the Ramaswamy family.
A beautiful day in Stern Grove with the Vasquez family. There was plenty of time for exploring the fields and hiking into the redwood trees. We all shared some good laughs clowning around together 🙂
We had to move fast because it was cold and windy outside, but all in all we had a great time rambling around the fields, old buildings and bookstore at Fort Mason in San Francisco!
A wonderful day at Alamo Square in San Francisco with the Valentino’s!
Another stellar month with Instagram and my iPhone 4. Lots of travel all up and down the West coast had me swimming with excitement of new places and far away lands of the Western United States. I can say this for sure, if you ever get the chance to drive US Route 1 north of San Francisco to it’s end where it meets the 101, and then up into Oregon, do it!
You can catch up on part of our journey on my previous post here, and I’ve got a host of personal project images made on the July road trips coming your way in August. Stay tuned for more images from landscapes and cityscapes of California the Pacific Northwest.
